The Rota Cage - Aging of the whole Cube

Working principle:

Core part of the machine is the rotating cage, which takes the whole product cube.

The cage is rotated over two axes and the walls are adjusted in a way, to allow exactly the space for the movements of the stones, which are necessary to ensure the desired aging results.

The aging process can be influenced by the space between the cube and the walls of the cage, the speed and the axes of the rotating process and the cycle time.

Speed, axes, cycle times and other process parameters can be saved as "Recipes" in the operator-friendly PLC control system of the machine.

Advantages at one glance:

- All surfaces of the stone are aged, not only the top side
- Aging of small and big formats, all thicknesses without problems
- No sorting and re-cubing necessary
- The arrangement of the stones in a layer is kept, advantages for:
   - layers with various formats
   - layers prepared for mechanical installation
- Possibility, to age heavy blocks or split blocks
- Aging after one day of curing possible
- Only one operator needed (Forklift driver)
- Almost zero rejects
- Different layouts possible (stand alone - inline)

Capacity:

Cycle time (depending on products and desired aging picture): between 3 and 6 minutes

Between 10 and 20 product cubes per hour can be processed

Restrictions:

To grant a perfect result, the edges of the stones must touch each other or the walls of the cage during the rotating cycle.

Therefore stones with circulating chamfers or full spacers can not be processed with this system.

For those products, ROTACAGE offers single layer systems ("products on board"). The name of this equipment is "ROTA LINE" and more information will be available soon. For a first impression, use this
